oh no! not tat again. Its ........ Bird urine!

what a 'lucky' day!
I thought for a umpteenth time a bird shit has landed on me, but no! I got something a bit wee better, pissed by a bird! Unless a monkey is trying to play punk and i look like a human-size banana, I'm certain it was some kind of bird peeing. But in a urban area they don't really exist.

Its was a beautiful morning until i saw tat splash of yellowish droplets. Lucky, it splashed on my forearm else if it land on my hair, i wouldn't have notice.
Blame me! I shouldn't have followed my daily(workdays only) SOP(standard operating procedure) of dazing away(day-dreaming) routine on my way to work.

PROPOSAL
Christopher Lee proposed to his life partner by getting down on one knee and asked his girlfriend(Fann Wong) of six years to marry him on the second day of Chinese New Year, in front of 20 family members and friends. It was simple and there weren't any flowers. I guess it's probably done to the sincerity and his tone which tied his knot to fann.

The proposal ring is a beautiful custom-made solitaire diamond ring (2.2 or 2.3 carat) costed around $100,000 and its brought in Barcelona, Spain. However the proposal ring was chosen and bought by well-renowed celebrity g-a-y stylist, i mean hair stylist, David Gan. Probably it's down to his gay-goistic that he made the decision on the proposal ring and bought it without even showing Chris.

Pre-Wedding

They had their bridal photo shoot in Maldives, showed no signs of tiredness and eagerly shared the love stories that inspired their jewellery collections – Starbliss, Romantique and Love Lace.Designed by Wong, the three collections sponsored by Celestial® by Goldheart are worth an estimated S$2.5million. A highlight of Starbliss is a 60-carat diamond necklace where each diamond is supposed to represent the different milestones of the couple’s courtship.“With this collaboration, I can be rest assured that I’ll be a sparkling bride on my wedding day!” said Wong. But that’s not all the MediaCorp actress wants to be when she walks down the aisle on September 29.“I will be a runaway bride,” declared Wong.“I have it all planned. When I put this [the necklace] on in the morning [of the wedding] I will run away with it! I will spend the rest of my life in Maldives,” she joked.Besides the S$1.6 million diamond necklace, Starbliss which was inspired by Lee’s “selflessness” and unconditional love for Wong, also consists of pair of diamond drop earrings and a bracelet.“A few years back, I had fallen very ill and Chris was in a state of panic. Even though he was filming at night, he took time off to rush down by my side and even made special effort to cook fish porridge for me – even though he hardly ever stepped into the kitchen!“After he fed me spoon by spoon, he stayed with me till I fell asleep before returning to filming. His unconditional love for me made me appreciate and love him even more,” said Wong. While the necklace is the highlight of the collection, Lee’s favourite is the Romantique collection which consists of a five-piece head dress, 50 assorted bangles and a pair of earrings.“I particularly like this collection,” said Lee. “If you look at the bangles individually, their designs are very simple but collectively, though there are a lot of them, it does not look overly dramatic, it feels just right.”When asked if it was heavy to wear all 50 bangles, Wong, who had them on during her Maldives photo shoot, replied, “Perhaps I was too happy so even though it was heavy, I didn’t feel it!”The designs of the headpiece and bangles, which were made from an assortment of gold – white, yellow, rose and champagne – were inspired by a moving episode in Prague.“I was filming in Prague for a long period of time several years back and I felt extremely homesick. To my greatest and most heart-warming surprise, Chris flew my parents over to Prague, and even took great care of them while I was busy filming,” said Wong.“Somehow, the revelation of Chris’ magnitude of love for me ‘opened’ my eyes to the beauty of Prague. The art and design of the Bohemian city suddenly became more romantic, magnificent and inspirational. Perhaps this is what love does to a person’s perception and outlook, and indeed I felt more alive and appreciative of the world around me.”Wong revealed that she decided to add a headpiece to the collection to go with her evening gown which is “more to the Bollywood and English look”.“We wanted a Bohemian look and an Indian look so we decided on a headpiece… You will see the connection when you see my gown on the wedding day,” said Wong who has been very secretive about her two evening gowns. The last collection, Love Lace, a matching cuff and earring set, is representative of Lee’s tireless devotion and love for Wong. The fluid mesh design which resembles lace, is the first of the three collections that Wong designed.Said the actress, “When I started designing this collection, I was thinking of all the little things Christopher has done for me that remind me of his unceasing love, care and devotion.”She added that it is the little gestures like cheering her up when she is down, and taking the effort to ensure that they spend time together despite their busy work schedules, that touched her.“All these gestures may seem natural between a couple and we tend to take things for granted, but his every little gesture adds up to show the depth of his love for me.”And it is not just the bride who gets the bling. Lee too has his very own Starbliss collection which consists of a diamond ear stud and ring.Though they will not be keeping the bridal jewellery, Goldheart will be giving the couple a specially-created Celestial jewellery present for their upcoming nuptials.

Remember to catch the live telecast of Fann Wong and Christopher Lee’s wedding on September 29 on Channel 8.

Puff for longevity?

Can smoking prolongs one's life?
Well, one granny or great granny has done it. She started smoking since 7 until now 102. Finally, she's decided to quit smoking for good.
Well, certainly this news send a message out to the youngster to smoke if they're still enjoying life and wants to live til the wrinkles are dominating your outer skin.

[ Mrs Langley has outlived her husband Robert, who died in 1968, and her son, who died four years ago aged 72.
She said: ‘I’ve cut down in recent years and only had one every few days after dinner or in my bedroom. I can just about afford it but the price of cigarettes is disgusting, and the smoking ban is disgusting. You should be able to smoke where you want.’ ]
Well, this confirm that second hand smoker will die younger than the smoker itself. And it tax on more to human brain to command one to smoke in order to outlive others.

She giving up my cigarettes...after 95 years!'
She lit her first cigarette as the lights were going out over Europe at the outbreak of the First World War in 1914.
Since then she has reached for her trusty Player’s Navy Blue (or, latterly, Embassy) through the ups and downs of all the following decades.
Until now. At the astonishing age of 102, Winne Langley has kicked the habit after 95 years because she ‘didn’t fancy it any more’.
Mrs Langley, who would share cigarettes with her friends at infant school, reckons she hasn’t contracted cancer because she does not inhale.
The former laundrette worker, who lives in Croydon, South London, said: ‘Everyone used to smoke in those days, you did it to cope. We didn’t know about the health problems. I just don’t fancy it any more.
‘My eyesight is failing so in a few years’ time I might not be able to see the pack.’
Since her first puff in 1914, Mrs Langley averaged five cigarettes a day, giving a total of more than 170,000 in her lifetime.
Her cigarettes were always to hand during the Depression and the Second World War.
‘I lived close to Biggin Hill and you could hear the German rocket bombs’ engines cut out,’ she said.
‘Some bombs used to land pretty close to me. You needed a smoke after that. ‘We didn’t know if we were going to be alive from one day to the next, so we thought you might as well enjoy yourself while you’re alive.’

A 107-year-old Malaysian woman says she is ready to marry for the 23rd time because she fears her current drug addict husband might leave her for a younger woman.
Wook Kundor made headlines four years ago when she married Muhammad Noor Che Musa, a man 70 years her junior in northern Terengganu state, with pictures of the couple's wedding splashed across regional newspapers.
But Wook is now looking for new love as she fears that Muhammad, 37, who is undergoing voluntary drug rehabilitation treatment in the capital Kuala Lumpur, will leave her once the programme ends.

She mentioned that: “Lately, there is this kind of insecurity in me. I want to express my feelings and tell him that I am lonely without him and if he reciprocates, I will wait for him without thinking of another marriage,” She feels alone during the fasting month.

She added that “I am not searching for a man as handsome as our Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak), but someone to accompany me in my twilight years. I realise that I am an aged woman. I don’t have the body nor am I a young woman who can attract anyone. My intention to remarry is to fill my forlornness and nothing more than that.”

Prince Hisahito of Akishino

He turned 3 years old.

Hisahito is the first male heir born in 41 years to the imperial family and is third in line to succeed Emperor Akihito, 75, on Japan's Chrysanthemum Throne. Their only seed to grow their imperial family tree!

The emperor and his wife have cut back official appearances because of stress-related illnesses. Princess Masako has also largely kept out of the public eye because of chronic depression.

In contrast, little Prince Hisahito appears to be the picture of health. I guess it got to do with the amount of ginseng, bird nest all sorts of high grade herbal products.

Reports said he loves his tricycle and knows how to dress himself. Probably a future takeshi in the making?

Prince Akishino and his wife Kiko also have two daughters.

Prince Hisahito of Akishino (悠仁親王,, born 6 September 2006), currently third in line to the Japanese throne, is the third child of the Prince and Princess Akishino, and their first son. He was born at 8:27 a.m. (Japan Standard Time) by Caesarean section in a private clinic in Tokyo following complications in the pregnancy, diagnosed as partial placenta praevia, which resulted in the birth taking place some two weeks early. He weighed 2.556 kg (5 lb 10 oz) at birth. According to the current law of succession, he is third in line of succession to become Emperor of Japan. He is the first male child born to the Japanese Imperial family since his father, in 1965.

Fiona Xie quits Mediacorp

Fiona Xie has resigned from Mediacorp. :( Well, probably to mediacorp loss.

With Mediacorp’s dominance, quitting the company is as good as quitting Singaporean showbiz altogether.

A probable reason is that Fiona is seeking opportunities overseas.
Regardless, wish her well in her future endeavours, whatever it’s going to be.
And i believe we all will want her back to our screen sometime soon!

FIONA Xie has verbally tendered her resignation, according to a good friend: 'Fiona was unhappy because she felt that the company had tried to portray her with a negative image.
'Even though she was offered the second female lead role in (upcoming Channel 8 blockbuster drama) Together, it was a 'bad girl' role.'

Fiona, 27, was to play a materialistic woman who comes between the lead characters, played by Jeanette Aw and Dai Yangtian.

She had initially accepted the role in the series and even had her imaging - where artists finalise the hair, clothes and make-up for their character - done.

Local actress Eelyn Kok has since replaced her in the TV drama.

Fiona entered the local showbiz scene eight years ago and charmed viewers with her good looks and gregarious personality in Channel 8 dramas such as The Champion and Just In Singapore.

She was later identified as one of the up and coming young actresses, together with Joanne Peh, Jeanette Aw, Jesseca Liu, Felicia Chin, Rui En and Dawn Yeoh.

They were dubbed 'seven princesses', a tag which has stuck since then.

When contacted about Fiona's apparent resignation, a MediaCorp spokesman told The New Paper: 'It is not our (MediaCorp's) policy to comment on speculation.'

Mr Paul Chan, Channel 8's vice-president of branding and promotions who's famed for his candid discussions of Channel 8 artists on his Bagua TV Blog, said he had no idea if Fiona had given notice.

He refused comment on whether this news had come as a surprise to him.

Fiona's good friend, celebrity hairstylist David Gan, reportedly told Shin Min on Wednesday that he knew that Fiona was going to quit two weeks ago.

But when contacted yesterday, he claimed that he didn't know anything about her supposed resignation.

Yet, he offered a few reasons that could have pushed the actress to leave. One is what he calls the strict 'disciplinary code' affecting local artists.

David said Fiona often felt stifled as an artist and longed for freedom of creativity in her work.

Freedom of speech, job-wise, was also a luxury that she didn't have, as she was often criticised by her management when she spoke her mind.

Then there's the question of money. David believes she may have decided to seek greener pastures abroad where artists are generally paid higher salaries.

While other local artists would also likely face the same problems, David pointed out that Fiona deserves more.

'There are so few local actresses that have the natural X-factor and Fiona is one of them. She looks like a star, she is a star. It's definitely our loss.'

News of her resignation will come as no surprise to many if reports of her recent 'disappearance' are anything to go by. The New Paper had reported two months ago that her friends and colleagues like Elvin Ng and Adrian Pang were all puzzled about her sudden disappearance and clueless as to her whereabouts.

In July, after dropping out of Together, Fiona's manager told The New Paper that she had gone abroad to attend to some personal matters.

There was speculation that she was having personal problems and had fled to an unknown destination because of boyfriend trouble.

That month, however, someone claimed to have seen her shopping at Bugis and alerted the media, but the actress remained uncontactable.

Food show

Her manager said yesterday Fiona had recently completed the filming for variety show Singapore Flavours in Japan and San Francisco.

The Channel 8 series features Fiona and other celebrities such as Mark Lee, Chen Hanwei and Dennis Chew, showcasing local food overseas. It is slated for telecast next month.

Fiona's manager declined to comment on whether the actress had verbally resigned or if she had indicated any such intent previously.

So is she back in Singapore?

No, said her manager who also declined to reveal her current whereabouts.

Attempts to contact Fiona were unsuccessful as her phone was turned off.

Dennis Chew said of Fiona Xie: 'I love her, she's a wonderful person. She's more of the independent, mature sort of girl than a loner.'I had no idea that she was going to resign, but if it's true, I will miss her.'

Celebrity hairstylist David Gan: “I was very sad when she broke the news to me, after all it is difficult for an artiste to make her mark here. Though I can’t bear for her to go, I want her to be happy and wish her the best,”

ITS THE Most expensive plain glass (Rice Vermicelli) noodles i ever had!
Optimistically, they may be using high grade rice to make!
